AWARDS  &  RECOGNITIONS 

• Locally - Best drummer at The Surrey Jazz Fest 1997-1999 - Chosen as the drummer for the BC Honour Jazz Band - Recipient of the Fraser McPherson Scholarship 
• Nationally - Chosen by Zildjian Cymbals as the Best Drummer at Musicfest Canada 1997-1999. Picked to perform as the drummer for the Yamaha Honour big band comprised of the best High-School players in the country in 1999 
• Was featured on the Cover of Drums Etc in 2008 with a 4 page article and interview. Exclusively endorsed by D’Addario with Evans Drum Heads and Pro-Mark Drum Sticks. 
• Internationally - Winner of the Best Drummer in High-School at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, the biggest jazz festival in North America at the time in 1998, chosen by greats such as Christian McBride and Roy Hargrove. 
• Awarded Final Round Funding - MusicBC #CSC2021 Songwriting Competition for original co-write and self produced song featuring Tiago, written with MxdMssg and Tiago Vasquez.

SOLO PROJECTS / CURATED GROUPS  &  EVENTS 

• THE BLAZING ERAS - My solo production writing project collaborating with some of my favourite musicians. For the live setting, this features more of my complex production work, as well as artists like Thundercat, Robert Glasper, Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock, Nate Smith, & Yussef Kamaal, to be interpreted with a group of Session players that I would consider the top echelon of the music scene. 

• The “FRIENDS” series 1-6 at Guilt & Co - Highlights include - 4.0 The Golden Era Tribute feat. Kutcorners, Moka Only, DJ Flipout, Starcaptains - 5.0 Tribute to Classic Breaks feat. Kat Hendrix original drummer on Apache Incredible Bongo Band (One of the most important drum breaks of hiphop history) - 6.0 Soul Queens of 90s RnB feat. Tonye Aganaba, Aimee Ayotte, Rebecca Schoicet, Ash Eyeman, Jes Vaira, Erica Dee. 

• DRUMS & DECKS - 3 year resident club night at The Belmont in Vancouver feat. DJ Abel, DJ Kemo, DJ Praize, DJ Flipout. Live drums, samplers, and percussion accompanying a DJ club night. 

• FLOW n’ MOTION - Musical Director/Bandleader for the Drum/DJ/Percussion trio Feat. Chris Couto on Percussion, DJ Flipout on turntables, and myself on drums/samplers, Highlights included opening for DJ Premier & the Badder Band at Venue 

• RETURN OF THE SPACE COWBOYS - I Formed and musical directed this Jamiroquai Tribute alongside Jeanse LeDoujet & Chris Couto 

• THE CALL & RESPONSE QUINTET - MD & Band leader doing modern fusion jazz versions of songs from artists like Flying Lotus, Squarepusher, John Scofield, Freddie Hubbard etc. 

• ROPE-A-DOPE QUARTET - A Fusion Jazz Funk group curated with players from groups like Pomo, Potatohead People, & The Dapkings 

STUDIO   PRODUCTION 

• Releasing first album as a solo artist called “The Elephant at the Front Door” with features from Moka Only, Kapok, DJ Flipout, Teon Gibbs, Tonye Aganaba, Aaron Ross, & JC Subliminal. 
• Co-Lab with Adidas/Livestock for their “Rhythm” brand Online ad with a video built around an open drum solo performed in studio, filmed then featured in the Video. 
• Producing songs for Drumeo (The worlds biggest online drum community) as play alongs for their members. My first track and video “Deep in the cut” went viral with 200,000 views and 2000 shares around the world in just over 2.5 weeks. I now have 4 tracks available to their members, with one video featuring Daru Jones (Jack White, Slum Village, Pete Rock). 
• Debut recording at Baptone Studios was Tonye Aganaba’s “Something Comfortable” and has received raved reviews. 
• Producing/Co-Writing/Playing on Deidra Ann’s 4 song debut EP. 
• Producing a 2 song EP for “Damasco Sound System” funded by the Amplify BC program 

CORPORATE / THEATER   PROJECTS 

• Worked for the Orca Bay Organization/Vancouver Canucks as the in house drummer hype man, the Canucks play-off band in 2014, and many other feature acts at their home games. 
• Was part of the pit band for the LA based Katherine Rigby “Peter Pan” performance at the Pacific Coliseum. 
• Worked with Jameson Whiskey on a promo tour for a live 5 drummer bucket show performance.
